The images of DNA sequencing are organized in vertical rows of small squares black and white and slightly out of focus. These patterns are reminiscent of the punched cards that were used in the early digital computers but also of the photograms obtained from the end of a black and white silent movie. The soundtrack of the work DNA Film was created by measuring the light intensity of the individual frames, while it also resembles the familiar sound of a cinema projector. In a certain way, DNA Film invites the viewer to experience the projection of a DNA sequence as if, metaphorically, she/he were witnessing an excerpt of a life.
